Volvo Buses India launches Volvo 9600 intercity luxury bus at Prawaas 3.0. Powering the Volvo 9600 buses is the Volvo D8K engine that produces 350 hp at 2200 RPM and 1350 Nm of peak torque between 1200-1600 RPM. Transmission duties are handled by Volvo’s I-Shift automated manual gearbox.
The 15m - 40 berth sleeper coaches also feature storage shelves, ladders and restraints, flat floor saloon, individual USB charging ports, individual AC louvres and reading lights. Whereas, the 55-seater coaches get pushback seats, theatre-type saloon seats and individual USB charging ports and reading lights.
